Inspection Types

The Building and Safety Department offers three (3) types of Inspections: On-site, Virtual, and Self.

On-Site Inspections

An on-site inspection is the more traditional inspection. An inspector will meet you on-site and preforms the inspection.

Virtual Inspections

A virtual inspection is an efficient alternative to on-site inspections, enabling prompt service, productive follow-ups, and more specific scheduling. Virtual inspections are conducted between a customer and a County inspector by using a video call on a smartphone or tablet.

Self Inspections

A self inspection is the more efficient and convenient alternative to an on-site inspection. This may be an option for less complex inspections. A self-inspection will also be considered during a virtual inspection if there is poor quality internet reception.
